Oct 1: Sharon Kitzman, President of Dominion DMS, announced
the launch of VUE Net in an interview with Dealer-Software-Success.com. The solution is designed to seamlessly back up most dealership management systems (DMS) and ensure their continuity in the face of cyber interruptions.
During a recent cyber attack, the Dominion DMS team identified three primary challenges: selling vehicles, delivering cars, and servicing customers. Without functioning keyboards, operations had to revert to pen and paper. This disruption resulted in significant costs, including lost sales and revenue, the need to operate manually for an uncertain period, customer dissatisfaction, and the hidden expense of re-entering handwritten data into the restored system. Public companies noted this as substantially impacting their quarterly financial results.
